We talked a lot about this and that but not about Accra. This year she will probably experience this special kick when you suddenly after four, six or eight weeks get a deeper understanding about the people and their country that you are visiting. On my journeys though African states it took always several weeks before my brain was tuned on Tanzanian or Ghanaian levels of communication. It is one thing to read everyday the local papers and a other to understand what these news are about and more specific what news matter. She is a 28 year old caterer who gave for our amusement a fashion show of her newly designed sets of clothes. There were three truly African outfits with colours that no Whity or Blafonyo -as they say down in Accra- could wear in Germany. Once she had a multi-colour scarf around her head. The scarf was in the colour of Ghana and it was the flag of Ghana. Of course she will go the football game. Ghana plays against Italy in Hannover.

We did not manage to talk about Accra or Ghana in general but hopefully I will receive some information and have interesting discussions.
